Adventures of another twenty-something expat in Kyoto, trying to decipher Kansai ben and eating all of the food.
I’ve been so terrible at updating lately! Agh. This is the first ‘personal’ blog I’ve had since Xanga was popular (remember Xanga? ahhh, good times) so I keep getting embarrassed when I remember that other people can read the banal crap that I write about, and then I start to put off writing. But what’s the point of having a blog if other people can’t read it (other than for recording my time in Japan for myself and my family I guess!)?
I’ve also been pretty busy with writing midterm tests and my Japanese night class. By the end of the day I just want to crawl into bed. I’ve been scouring the internets for language exchange partners (mostly because I want friends - my life is so sad!) and I might be meeting a girl to chat over coffee, so I’m looking forward to interacting with someone who I don’t work with. I’m a shy person, so it’s hard to make friends when you’re living on your own. :/
On a less of a bummer note, I discovered Mos Burger last night.
Man, Japanese people have got fast food down better than Amurrica does, that’s for sure. It was so good. Or maybe I was just really hungry. It did have this interesting Chef Boyardee-esque sauce on it that was kind of strange, but I still ate the whole burger in less than 10 seconds.
